The Lodge is a 10-bedroom, 10-bathroom vacation rental and outdoor event venue located next door to The Wallace Falls State Park in Gold Bar, WA. We are a family-owned small business under new ownership as of 2020. We are ramping up for peak wedding season and looking to expand our team. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be onsite for each wedding and event from start to finish

  • Facilitate communication between venue manager, Lodge staff, vendors, bride & groom, and Lodge guests

  • Develop and maintain lasting relationships with guests and vendors

  • Collaborate with owners, venue manager, and team members to support company goals and objectives

  • Communicate a gradual ending to the weddings and events and help guide wedding guests out at the end of the night

  • Uphold and communicate contract policies when necessary. Including but not limited to:

    • Ensuring guests/vendors do not drive on The Great Lawn for any reason

    • Ensuring that DJ/guests do not play amplified music outdoors past 10 pm

    • Ensuring that all “day guests” are off the property by midnight or the time indicated in their contract

    • Ensuring that all furniture, equipment, and games are off the lawn after the wedding/event

    • Meet with couples to discuss final details, host venue walkthroughs, and wedding rehearsals

    • The Liaison will be a resource for your couples leading up to their big day and must be knowledgable about The Venue, Lodge, our services and be prepared to answer questions

  • Cleaning and stocking during weddings and events. Including but not limited to:

    • Cleaning and stocking event restrooms throughout the wedding or event

    • Continually turning and maintaining Lodge laundry and linens

    • Cleaning and stocking employee/housekeeping quarters

    • Other cleaning and duties as necessary or assigned

HOURS & SCHEDULE

Hours: Hours: 10-20 hours per week

Seasonal schedule: Flexible start and end date, May 1- October 31

Required availability: Liaisons must work 1-2 events per weekend. You will be required to work at least 3-weekends per month. Shifts are 8 hours and span from afternoon to late evening. This is an excellent position for a night owl!

PAY

$20.00-23.00/hour DOE

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Working towards a degree or certificate related to hospitality, business, communication, or wedding and event planning is preferred.

  • Work experience in the hospitality industry. Including weddings and events, catering, food & beverage, restaurant, hotel, and customer service segments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & NECESSARY SKILLS

  •   Dependability- Our team relies on each other to provide our guests with a wonderful experience from start to finish! If we are down even one team member, our jobs can be very challenging. Timeliness and dependability are critical. If this will be hard for you, please do not apply.

  • Communication- Liaison must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Being knowledgeable, attentive, helpful, understanding, respectful, kind, yet firm and forthright will be necessary when communicating with guests and vendors.

  • Professionalism- Liaison should always present with a positive and professional attitude and demeanor even in highly stressful or laid-back situations. 

  • Problem Solving- Our event Liaison will face several challenges and obstacles daily. Troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving are essential skills necessary for success in this position.

  • Following Instructions- Liaison will be given detailed instructions and feedback regularly and continually work to achieve company goals and objectives. 

  • Physical Requirements-The ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. Standing/walking/climbing stairs for up to 8 hour per day and carrying or lifting up to 40lbs.

  • Transportation Requirements- Applicants must have a dependable vehicle and anticipate a long commute. The applicant should live within 20 miles of Gold Bar, WA. The closer, the better!
