History
The Wallace Falls Lodge was built in 1999 by Tim and Mary Swanson with help from their daughters, Cheyenne & Chera. The couple initially set out to create a bed and breakfast for locals and tourists visiting the Wallace Falls State Park, and for those traveling along Highway 2. Mary was responsible for customer service and day-to-day operations and Tim oversaw initial construction, did all general maintenance, and built the beautiful wood beds and tables you see throughout the Lodge. It soon became evident to Mary & Tim that The Lodge was better suited as a vacation rental and event venue. The Lodge hosted its first wedding in 1999. Mary and Tim went on to expand the business to hosting a variety of retreats and business off-sites.
In 2019, after hosting many hundreds of retreats & weddings, including the weddings of their daughters, Mary and Tim decided it was time to retire. In February 2020 they sold The Lodge to Laura & Tahoma Doyon, Pacific Northwest Natives who fell in love with The Lodge and dreamed of helping another generation of guests make beautiful memories.
