ABOUT WORKING AT THE WALLACE FALLS LODGE
The Lodge is a 10-bedroom, 10-bathroom vacation rental and outdoor event venue located next door to The Wallace Falls State Park in Gold Bar, WA. We are a family-owned small business under new ownership as of 2020. We are ramping up for peak wedding season and looking for our next awesome group of summer lodgekeepers. We are a fun group to work with (if we do say so ourselves!). If you enjoy working hard and laughing harder while in a beautiful setting, then The Lodge may be just the place for you!
SEASONAL LODGEKEEPER
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaning the Lodge, grounds and event spaces in a thorough, timely, and professional manner as part of a 4-5 person team
Cleaning following weddings, vacation rentals, retreats and nightly room turns
Complete set-up and tear-down of tables and chairs for weddings and events
Washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens
Maintain stocking and inventory checks for kitchen inventory items, cooking and cleaning supplies
Help maintain property upkeep, including, but not limited to, trash removal, light weeding and minor maintenance tasks

HOURS & SCHEDULE
Lodgekeeping is paid on a per-turn basis at a rate of $125/turn. All turns begin between 10am and 11am. The team usually completes the turn within 5 hours, and may finish up to an hour earlier or an hour later. Many employees commute to The Lodge, which is why we have a per-turn rate, rather than hourly. We want our lodgekeepers to be able to count on making $125, even on the days they wrap up early. During high season, if you were to divide the turn rate by hours, our Lodgekeepers typically make an average hourly rate of $25/hour or more. Employees sign up for their own shifts in seniority order. Employees may trade turns amongst themselves.
On-call shifts require the employee to be available by phone from 10:30-11:30am, and within an hour drive from The Lodge. The on-call employee will be notified between 10:30 and 11:30am if they are needed. If they are needed, they will be paid the standard turn rate. If they are not needed, they will be paid a $25 on call rate and are released at 11:30am.
